New at Munich is VIMBERG, springing from the minds, hands and creative work of Jörn Janczak of TIDAL. My understanding is that this line of loudspeakers will very much have “DNA” derived from the much more expensive TIDAL brand. Think Toyota vs Lexus, if Lexus was Bugatti (if that makes sense).
The new line is very much intended to be a more affordable entry to Janczak’s work (where ‘affordable’ is admittedly highly relative, of course). The parts are of the “typical” absurdly high-quality we’ve come to expect from Janczak, and the design still adheres to his obsessive level of attention to detail. Some limitations, of course, must apply. VIMBERG speakers are only in black or white, for example — those legendary lacquered wood veneers are reserved for the much more expensive TIDAL line. That said, the drivers are all top-of-the-line Accuton, and if a customer wants to opt-in for the extreme performance of the Accuton diamond drivers, well, that is an option.
Official launch is “now”, with availability in July. Dealers with interest need to contact their local importer/distributor.

Those parts are being installed into low-noise cabinets with literally heavy duty quality in waterproof quality in finest and resonance damping VIMBERG™-piano lacquer. And as heart of it we use only Mundorf and Duelund crossover parts – combined with unique engineering combining ultra-linear frequency responses with best timing and the complete lack of the drivers diaphragm signature. Which is something money can not buy and marketing cannot hide behind promises and fairytales.

My hope for a two way is inline with yours. It is my wish that those with a similar desire would email me collectively and I would happily be the advocate for it. Yours would be the first. Until the market responds to the two existing models, and people let them know what we want, we will have to wait and see. Thanks for believing in TIDAL as I do.
It’s good to read what Tidal is doing. I’am wondering of thay willen bring a two way model on the market. Can anyone tell me who is their or was their if that is the case? Tidal is one of the best from what i have heard so far.
From my conversations in the past few weeks, there is serious consideration to bring a two way back to market in the new VIMBERG brand. The production to the Mino and Tonda is started. The timeline for a two way has yet to be determined.
