I got lucky. When I finally managed to swing by the Vandersteen/ARC room, it was nearly empty. Which means yours truly got some serious quality time in the sweet spot. The $50k Vandersteen Model 7 speakers (w/ the new M7 crossovers) were deftly driven by $26k Audio Research Corp Reference 250 monoblock amplifiers, and for about 10 minutes, I was able to completely disengage my mammalian brain, letting the Inner Lizard free. It was glorious. Truly incredible sound and easily Best in Show quality.
