There’s a new sheriff in town, and its name is the Southwest Audio Fest!
That’s right, the Southwest Audio Fest is ready for its first ever appearance in the Dallas TX area, at the luxurious Hilton/Anatole. The show is run by Gary Gill and Lou Hinkley, the two gentlemen who are also responsible for both the Capital Audiofest and the Pacific Audio Fest, which the PTA team loves to attend.
These two have been longtime fixtures in the industry, as stated on the Southwest Audio Fest website:
“Capital Audiofest is the East Coast’s largest and longest running consumer high-end audio show, and the only show in the Mid-Atlantic area. Started in 2010 by Gary Gill, CAF presents a wide range of music reproduction products for the enthusiast, from start-up and cutting-edge technologies to cost-no-object aspirational gear, and everything in between. Capital Audiofest offers a fun and congenial weekend for the whole family, including live music, seminars and presentations and tastings from local distilleries.”
“In 1992 Lou Hinkley founded Daedalus Audio as a manufacturer of high-quality speakers for both professional and home use. In the course of three decades, Lou Hinkley has exhibited in practically every type of festival and audio show, and he knows the industry well from the manufacturer’s perspective. For the last 30 years, the highly acclaimed Daedalus speaker systems have been used by professionals in both live and studio settings, as well as in home audio systems around the world.”
The Southwest Audio Fest will be held at the Hilton/Anatole located at 2201 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207 from March 15-17, 2024. Ticket prices are $25 for one day and $40 for a multi-day pass. Under 18 and students with ID are free, and there’s a military discount of $10 off the ticket price.
Good luck to both Gary and Lou and their effort to bring the best in high-end audio to the Lone Star State. For tickets, directions and general information, please check out the Southwest Audio Fest website.
