One of the best parts of an Andrew Jones loudspeaker launch, such as the MoFi Sourcepoint 10, is an Andrew Jones presentation. Perhaps one of the most accomplished designers working in the industry today, he’s also one of the most well-known, and most sought-after for anything involving a customer.
He is, in short, hilarious.

Here at FLAX, Jones was showing off the new MoFi Sourcepoint 10 loudspeakers, a beefy coincident-driver speaker that runs $3,699/pair. The driver is 10″ — hence the “10” in the name — and paired with a center-mounted silk-dome tweeter.
This demo featured a startlingly simple system; the speakers were paired here with with a HiFi Rose RS520 hybrid amplifier/streamer/DAC. The rack was from Solidsteel, and power conditioning was provided by Isotek. AudioQuest cables were used throughout.
Brian Hunter, the editor-in-chief for The Occasional Podcast had an early-bird access to the speaker — his experience and impressions are available here. The TL;DR — the MoFi Sourcepoint 10s are one of Jones’ most exciting offerings in years. All we can say is that the demo at FLAX was entertaining and engaging — these speakers sound fantastic.
It doesn’t take a crystal ball to see that MoFi has a hit on their hands with the MoFI Sourcepoint 10s — just one look at the faces of the folks piling into this very much in-demand demo would do that.

Andrew Jones has to be one of the truly great personalities in this industry. His demo’s are always fun, and there is always an impish playfulness, lingering just below the surface, ready to sping!
