At the end of day one of Audio Advice LIVE 2022, it was time to close the show for the evening with a keynote address from Audio Advice CEO, Scott Newnam. We knew this keynote speech from Mr. Newnam was sure to be a popular part of the weekend, but Jameson Mourafetis and myself grossly underestimated how much so.

Ourselves arriving about fifteen minutes before the event, a bit of panic set in when we realized that a massive crowd had already gathered in waiting outside of the hotel auditorium for the keynote event. Using our press credentials as leverage, we brazenly bullied our way up to the front of the line.
Who, Us?
A few disgruntled show attendees (not pictured) asked: “Who do you a**holes think you are?”
We paused in thought and scoffed: “The Absolute Sound of course.”
Bigger Than Big
When I say standing room only, I mean it. The whole production was giving both Jameson and I serious “audiophile-mega-church” vibes, and yet we were completely onboard with it.
Scott Newnam‘s keynote address was indeed one for the ages. The event started with a heartfelt thank you, from Newnam, to Audio Advice Founder, Leon Shaw who was sitting right there in the front row. The crowd took their feet for a standing ovation for Shaw.
When it was all said and done we were left enriched, moved, and elevated. A good sermon!

David Solomon of Qobuz
Closing out the magnificent keynote address from Scott Newnam, was David Solomon of Qobuz who wanted to remind us that he would be holding “flash DJ sessions” throughout the show weekend, bouncing around from exhibit to exhibit.
Day one in the books, and now begins the after hours partying. Lord help us!
