Zingali Acoustics, JMF, Pear Audio, Audio Skies | THE Show 2022

The Zingali Acoustics room with JMF Audio electronics was, I believe, the largest showroom at the show. In past years the Zingali speakers have made good showings in smaller rooms, but this year got to prove that they were also up to playing auditorium-sized rooms. As always the Zingali speakers were quick and had a very organic and natural sound, with any subtle horn colorations low enough in level or pleasant enough in character to fool the ear into dismissing them.

Words and Photos by Grover Neville

While they’ve often brought top notch tube electronics, this year the JMF electronics were playing the Zingali with a particular speed and sweetness that I found quite appealing, and I made a note to investigate these amplifiers further.

Michael Vamos from Audio Skies Distribution is responsible for getting JMF over into the USA, and is also responsible for Ideon, another fantastic Greek audio brand. Watch out for Greece in 2022, they seem to have something in the water that’s resulting in some exceptional gear.
